    It's hard to look after your health when basics are a worry. There's no shame in asking.

    • Find a food bank or community pantry near you

      Some are open to anyone, others ask for a voucher from Citizens Advice, a GP or a support worker. Community markets offer low-cost food.

    • Get a free benefits check

      Citizens Advice can tell you what help you might be entitled to.

    Mental health and wellbeing

    Looking after your mind matters as much as your body.

    • Refer yourself to NHS Talking Therapies

      Free. You can ask for therapy in your language or with an interpreter.

    • In a mental health crisis

      Call 111 and choose the mental health option, or text SHOUT to 85258. In danger, call 999.
